Panda
Tommy D's Irma (Panda)
Black Sr. Doe
Winnings: 1 leg
View pedigree or offspring record

"Panda" was bought from Tom Dietrich and is part of our foundation stock. She was still a junior when I bought her, so I showed her once, just to see she would do. She ended up taking Best of Breed and earning a leg. I really needed her as a breeding doe, so she was retired. Panda is a great mom, is very friendly, and throws very nice babies.

Daisy
Hume's Daisy
Black Sr. Doe
Winnings: 12 legs
View pedigreeoffspring record or show record

Daisy is a gentle, sweet-natured rabbit, and the name, Daisy, just seemed to fit. As she has matured, this typey, well-marked animal has always seemed to be a judge favorite, which you can see with her numerous legs and significant wins. She has settled into her well-deserved retirement as a mom!

Jasmine
Hume's Jasmine
Black Sr. Doe
Winnings: 1 leg
View pedigreeoffspring record or show record

Jasmine is cute cute cute! She is super typey in a small, lean package. She's a full sibling to Flick and Mikey, and has had a nice show career, so I am hoping she'll be as great as a producer as her siblings! She's a little long in the stops, but otherwise, her markings are pretty nice.

Lena
Hume's Lena
Black Sr. Doe
Winnings: 3 legs
View pedigreeoffspring record or show record

Lena is a compact-bodied doe with good type and markings. She was never shown as a junior because I needed seniors to show when she was only 5 months old. When she was very young, she had an abscess on her chest that I thought healed up nicely. Low and behold, one day as a senior I noticed she has a black spot on her chest. So her show career is over, but motherhood begins!

Bertie
Hume's Big Bertha
Black Sr. Doe
Winnings: 1 leg
View pedigreeoffspring record or show record

Bertie was born with a GORGEOUS big "buck" head. Naturally she was dubbed "Big Bertha" or "Bertie" for short. She has very good markings, excellent leg structure, full hindquarters, as well as amazing depth through her body. I could go on and on about this gal. She has thrown me some very pretty babies so far!

Fawn
Hume's Fawn
Black Sr. Doe
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

Fawn has EXCELLENT type, and the judges sure noticed when she was on the show table. She was retired young to become a mom, as she just doesn't have the markings to win consistantly. She is one of those does that outproduces herself every time, her babies are absolutely gorgeous and have been some of my biggest winners.

Hope
Hume's Hope
Black Sr. Doe
Winnings: 1 leg
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

This doe is beautiful in type and all of her markings but her slightly high cheeks. She has a lovely big body and gorgeous head. She's got massive bone and substance throughout. She injured her leg when she was young, and the vet was unsure if she'd ever be a show rabbit, but she turned out fine and is now a mom! She will be offered for sale at ARBA 2008!

Mikey
Hume's Mikey
Black Sr. Doe
Winnings: 1 Leg
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

Mikey had a nice show career, but it ended quickly when I lost her sister unexpectedly and needed a black doe to use for breeding. She's one the grumpiest does in the barn but she's always outproducing herself. Her babies are consistantly well-marked with great type. Two daughters of different sires were the highest selling rabbits at NDS and ARBA Convention 2007's open seller's class.

Melody
Tommy D's Melody
Blue Sr. Doe
Winnings: Never Shown
View pedigree

Melody was given to me by Tom Dietrich as part of a trade for a great black buck (Hume's Twister) I sold him. I was looking for a typey blue doe for my herd, and that's exactly what he gave me. She has a split stop that keeps her from competition, but she's got type and great bloodlines. She is a great mom and is an even more exceptional foster mom.

Tess
Emily's Genie (Tess)
Blue Sr. Doe
Winnings: Unknown
View pedigree or offspring record

Wow, what is there to say about "Tess"... She's a grumpy old woman who throws gorgeous babies! She's the matriarch of the barn, and most of my best rabbits have come from her. She was bought as one of my foundation herd dams from Tom Dietrich (she comes from both his and Mike Smith's lines). She may be grouchy, but this girl definitely has a home for life!

Dorothy
Bergene's 6P71 (Dorothy)
Blue Sr. Doe
Winnings: 1 leg
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

I found this adorable little blue doe, "Dorothy" at the NDS 2007 and couldn't resist adding her to my blue lines. She is a small, compact doe with a very good head on her. She came from breeder Bob Bergene of Kansas, and she's "not in Kansas anymore!" hence where her name came from. She has thrown me some exceptionally marked babies so far.

Dove   Hume's Dove
Blue Sr. Doe
Winnings: 3 Legs
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

Dove is the first really pretty doe I have gotten out of my favorite blue buck, Blue. She is a very good combination of her mother and father's traits. Overall well-marked, with good bone and leg structure. She's done her part on the show table and now I'm breeding her back to her sire to see what I can get!

Trixie   Hume's Trixie
Blue Sr. Doe
Winnings: 9 Legs
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

Trixie has wonderful type and gorgeous blue color. She's a big-bodied and tall doe. Even though her markings are a little off here and there, the judges still liked her quite well on the show table. Now that she has retired into motherhood, she has thrown me some really cute babies with her type and color, but with their daddy's better markings.

Tinkerbell   Hume's Tinkerbell
Blue Sr. Doe
Winnings: 3 Legs
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

Tinkerbell is a little cutie that looks just like her mom, Trixie, except with better cheeks! She has a nice big body, but isn't quite as tall as her mother. She's done well on the show table, and has thrown me dome exceptional babies. I have decided to keep her around as a brood doe for now.

Trina   Hume's Trina
Blue Sr. Doe
Winnings: 6 Legs
View pedigree or show record

Trina is a better marked version of her mom! Yay! This doe has excellent height and width through the body, with great hindquarters. She's done really well on the show table, so now we'll see what she can produce. I like her a little more than her older sister Tinkerbell, so sooner or later I will sell one of these two girls.

Glory     Old Glory's 92 (Glory)
Gray Sr. Doe
Winnings: 7 Legs
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

I bought "Glory" in the 2005 youth seller's class at NDS. She comes from Old Glory Farms in Illinois. She was my first gray animal, and since I bought her young, I showed her a while before breeding her. She did excellent on the show table, even winning a best 4-class! Glory has also done well as a mom!

Rita
Blythe/Stelzer K502 (Rita)
Gray Sr. Doe
Winnings: Unknown
View pedigree or offspring record

I bought "Rita" at the 2006 ARBA Convention from breeder Rita Stelzer of South Dakota. She is a massive doe that pushes the weight limit, but she has awesome hindquarters, something my gray bucks lack. She usually has huge litters and crosses well on every buck I've bred her to so far. She continually outproduces herself and throws OUTSTANDING babies.

Dora
Hume's Dora
Gray Sr. Doe
Winnings: 11 Legs
View pedigree, offspring record or show record

What a beauty Dora is! She is a large bodied doe with excellent hindquarters like her mother. She has good ring color, but her surface color seems to have gotten darker with age. She had an exceptional show career and now has been retired to motherhood. Dora is registered with the ARBA.

Lady
Hume's Lady
Gray Sr. Doe
Winnings: 3 Legs
View pedigree or show record

I really, really like the body type on this doe. She's got a lot of substance and a lovely head and ear! Her cheeks are a smidgen high, leaving her blaze a little wider than I'd like though. Her color and ring are nice as well. I will see what she produces now that she's getting older, but she will be offered for sale at ARBA 2008.

Kortney
Kortbein's K725 (Kortney)
Gray Sr. Doe
Winnings: Unknown
View pedigree or offspring record

I had lost my former Kortbein gray doe, Ginger, and wanted to replace her with a similar line since I liked it so much. Theresa Kortbein (now Schwandt) had this lovely gray doe (I call her Kortney) for sale at ARBA Convention 2007 and I brought her home. She's a deep bodied animal with a lot of substance and bone. And I FINALLY got a litter out of her!

Pepper
Kortbein's K374 (Pepper)
Steel Sr. Doe
Winnings: Unknown
View pedigree or offspring record

I don't plan on doing much with steels, but I really admire the color and thought it'd be fun to get a pair to breed every once in a while. I found my doe "Pepper" at the ARBA Convention 2007 from breeder Theresa Kortbein (now Schwandt) of Wisconsin. She is a great mom! I am very excited to have steels in my herd!
