Tommy D's Irma (Panda)

Winnings:

"Panda" was bought
from Tom Dietrich and is part of our foundation stock. She was still a junior
when I bought her, so I showed her once, just to see she would
do. She ended up taking Best of Breed and earning a leg. I really
needed her as a breeding doe, so she was retired. Panda is a great
mom, is very friendly, and throws very nice babies.

Hume's Daisy

Daisy is a gentle, sweet-natured
rabbit, and the name, Daisy, just seemed to fit. As she has matured, this
typey, well-marked animal has always seemed to be a judge favorite, which
you can see with her numerous legs and significant wins. She has settled
into her well-deserved retirement as a mom!

Hume's Jasmine

Jasmine is cute cute
cute! She is super typey in a small, lean package. She's a full
sibling to Flick and Mikey, and has had a nice show career, so I
am hoping she'll be as great as a producer as her siblings! She's a little
long in the stops, but otherwise, her markings are pretty nice. Jasmine will be offered for sale at NDS 2009.

Hume's Lena
Black
Sr. Doe
Winnings: 3 legs of G.C.
View pedigree or show record
|
Lena is a compact-bodied
doe with good type and markings. She was never shown as a junior because
I needed seniors to show when she was only 5 months old. When she was
very young, she had an abscess on her chest that I thought healed up
nicely. Low and behold, one day as a senior I noticed she has a black
spot on her chest. So her show career is over, but motherhood begins!

Bertie was born with
a GORGEOUS big "buck" head. Naturally she was dubbed "Big Bertha"
or "Bertie" for short. She has very good markings, excellent leg
structure, full hindquarters, as well as amazing depth through her body.
I could go on and on about this gal. She has thrown me some very pretty
babies so far!

Hume's Fawn

Fawn has EXCELLENT type,
and the judges sure noticed when she was on the show table. She
was retired young to become a mom, as she just doesn't have the markings
to win consistantly. She is one of those does that outproduces herself
every time, her babies are absolutely gorgeous and have been some of
my biggest winners.

Hume's Gwen

Winnings:
9 legs of G.C.

Gwen is a sharp looking
doe with beautiful type. Great hindquarters and solid shoulders. She has
nice markings, except a slight hook into one mouth. When she's in condition,
she has a fantastic coat of fur. Gwen has had an outstanding show career and
I hope she can produce some winnign babies!

Hume's Mikey

Mikey had a nice show career, but it ended quickly when I lost
her sister unexpectedly and needed a black doe to use for breeding.
She's one the grumpiest does in the barn but she's always outproducing
herself. Her babies are consistantly well-marked with great type.
Two daughters of different sires were the highest selling rabbits at
NDS and ARBA Convention 2007's open seller's class.

I found Amy at the ARBA Convention 2008. She comes from breeder
Al Gerhart of Ohio. Amy has a beautiful topline and nice hindquarters, plus
she has great short stops and a heck of a coat of fur on her. I am hoping
she will make a nice addition to my breeding does!

Tommy D's Melody
Blue
Sr. Doe
View pedigree
or offspring record
|
Melody was given to me
by Tom Dietrich as part of a trade for a great black buck (Hume's Twister)
I sold him. I was looking for a typey blue doe for my herd, and that's
exactly what he gave me. She has a split stop that keeps her from
competition, but she's got type and great bloodlines. She is a great
mom and is an even more exceptional foster mom.

Wow, what is there to
say about "Tess"... She's a grumpy old woman who throws gorgeous
babies! She's the matriarch of the barn, and most of my best rabbits
have come from her. She was bought as one of my foundation herd dams from Tom
Dietrich (she comes from both his and Mike Smith's lines). She may be
grouchy, but this girl definitely has a home for life!

Hume's Brit

Winnings:
10 legs of G.C.

Brit is a real pretty
girl. She had a strong show career, and is now a breeding doe. She is one
of those rabbits that takes on both her dam and her sire's best characteristics,
and is exactly the type I look for on my Dutch. Her markings are overall
pretty good, one low cheek. I am hoping she can produce some winners for me!

Dove is the first really
pretty doe I have gotten out of my favorite blue buck, Blue. She is
a very good combination of her mother and father's traits. Overall well-marked,
with good bone and leg structure. She's done her part on the show table
and now I'm breeding her back to her sire to see what I can get!

Hume's Trixie

Trixie has wonderful
type and gorgeous blue color. She's a big-bodied and tall doe. Even
though her markings are a little off here and there, the judges still
liked her quite well on the show table. Now that she has retired into
motherhood, she has thrown me some really cute babies with her type and
color, but with their daddy's better markings.

Fiona is a pretty doe
I picked up from the Everett twins in Michigan. She has a great coat of fur
on her and a nice tall topline with good shoulders. Her sire side comes from
some of my stock, and I think she will cross I well with my bucks. I am
excited to start using her!

I bought "Glory" in
the 2005 youth seller's class at NDS. She comes from Old Glory Farms in Illinois.
She was my first gray animal, and since I bought her young, I showed
her a while before breeding her. She did excellent on the show table,
even winning a best 4-class! Glory has also done well as a mom!

Blythe/Stelzer K502 (Rita)

Sr. Doe
Winnings:

I bought "Rita" at the
2006 ARBA Convention from breeder Rita Stelzer of South Dakota. She
is a massive doe that pushes the weight limit, but she has awesome hindquarters,
something my gray bucks lack. She usually has huge litters and crosses
well on every buck I've bred her to so far. She continually outproduces
herself and throws OUTSTANDING babies.

What a beauty Dora is!
She is a large bodied doe with excellent hindquarters like her mother.
She has good ring color, but her surface color seems to have gotten
darker with age. She had an exceptional show career and now has been
retired to motherhood. Dora is registered
with the ARBA.

Katie's Dar
Gold
Sr. Doe

I finally decided to
toy around with a gold to try to brighten up and distinguish the bands on
my ring color for my grays. Dar hails from the Bickelhaupt barn in Ohio.
She has some major marking flaws, a tied elbow and two split stops, but her
type and gorgeous head make up for it. She has a wonderful personality and
is a favorite for many people.

I had lost my former
Kortbein gray doe, Ginger, and wanted to replace her with a similar
line since I liked it so much. Theresa Kortbein (now Schwandt) had
this lovely gray doe (I call her Kortney) for sale at ARBA Convention
2007 and I brought her home. She's a deep bodied animal with a lot of substance and bone.
And I FINALLY got a litter out of her!
